Skids wheels come in several varieties and sizes but what they all have in common is that they are intended to 'take the hit' from ground contact instead of your RV's frame or hitch doing so. Skid wheels are not designed to be attached the to bumper. The are intended to be installed on the frame or the hitch. Generally, the bumper isn't capable of handling the force applied by the skid wheels when they bottom-out.

The longer the RV, and the greater the distance between the rear of the RV and the back axle, the greater the forces the skid wheels will have to deal with. This is why the larger, stronger skid wheel those used on the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979013 are recommended for RVs greater than 34 feet in length.
